Potty Training

Here is a pic of what Jason captured on his phone....frustration and tears!

We've pretty much got the pee thing down...but this pooping business is out of control. He doesn't want to poop on the potty and doesn't really mind going in his underwear, even though they are really cool ones. So, we decided that bribery would be the best option (really me, but I don't want to take all the blame for this one) so we go to the store and let Isaac pick out his "prize" for when he goes poop on the potty. After much searching he picks out a tool box filled with tools. We bring it home and explain it to him what has to happen for him to get to play with his new toy and then the tears start. I'm not sure what the total time was for crying, but it was pretty excessive!!! We still haven't pooped on the potty...anybody have any ideas?

Side note: Last night when we asked Isaac if he wanted to pray for anything...he requested prayer for his tool box!

If it's any consolation, it is totally normal for kiddos to struggle. I have heard the "falling away" is so new and scary, which is why they don't mind the dookey in their pants. Just give it time. You could also start making him clean himself up after he has an "accident". He may not like it so much after that! :)
